Welcome to www.gelderlander.com

The Gelderlander originated from the Dutch Province of Gelderland. This breed is a result of widespread crossbreeding between old local breeds and numerous imported breeds like the Thoroughbred, Hackney, Oldenburg, East Friesian, and Anglo-Norman. Initially, the Gelderlander was used under harness and for light agricultural work. Today, they are utilized for recreational riding, show jumping and dressage.
